The Chicago Apple User Group is very proud to present Sam Rowlands for our July, 2012 meeting. Note that this meeting will be on the second Wednesday in July, and that is July 11, 2012.
Sam Rowlands is one half of the husband and wife team that make up Ohanaware. They produce incredible software for the Macintosh that makes HDR photography really easy! There are two products, a free product called HDRist, and it is the easiest HDR photography software for the Mac. They also make a professional product called HDRist Pro. As one reviewer said of HDRist Pro, “"In this era of impersonal, illogical, and incompetent products, HDRtist Pro is a beacon of hope that attention to detail and quality still exists." - Laurence E. Schiffman B.S.; D.M.D.” You can learn more about HDRist Pro here:
They also make a number of software titles that allow you to share your photos with others. FunGreetings allows you to print and e-mail stunning photo cards. Funtastic Photos is a fun and easy way to share and print photos. It’s also an Apple Staff Pick. Here are a couple of reviews: “This software is so much fun to play with. I'm a professional Web designer that uses Photoshop daily, but it can't create these cool effects as easily! Thanks"
- Patty Carney
"I want to say excellent application. I played with it for almost a hour and purchased it happily"
- Scott Lopez, Canada”
Sam will be with us via live video, since he lives on the other side of the world. You’ll have a great opportunity to talk with Sam directly and see his knowledge and enthusiasm for the Mac and photography.
